Itinerary
Day 1. Game drive in Tarangire.
Your safari starts with the drive to Tarangire, Tanzania's third-largest national park and sanctuary for a usually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animal that feeds beneath them.
Animal concentrate along the Tarangire river Which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wild animals including lions, leopards, Cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. Half-day game drives in the park overnight at Marera Valley Lodge at Tarangire.
2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park situated 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, floods and dries with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your park explorations, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes. It not only has grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs.
3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will start on your way to Serengeti through the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory of Human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch at Naabi hill gate all the way to Serengeti you will continue further into the park for a game drive en route in Serengeti and overnight at Acacia lodge.
Day 4: Serengeti full-day game drive.
After early morning breakfast, you will meet with your driver guide and begin with an early morning game drive with your Toyota Land cruiser you early morning before the animal gets active you will enjoy the life of African wild animals for 4 hours in the central of Serengeti enjoy the nature and later you will return at the hotel for a hot lunch and after lunch will start a game en route while we heading to Ngorongoro conservation area via Naab Hill gate and overnight will be in Rhino lodge.
Day 5: Drive to Ngorongoro crater the Eden of Africa
Wake up early at 6.30 am for early breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with picnic lunch) within Ngorongoro Crater on a World Heritage site holding a permanent population of more than 30,000 animals. As only very few of those migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft, high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, birds, and other species. The crater is also home to the rare black rhino almost extinct in Tanzania. With a bit of luck, you will see the “Big Five” during the game drive and late-hours transfer to Arusha airport to catch your final flight or fly to Zanzibar or go on with other activities in Arusha.
