Manaslu Circuit Trek
Manaslu Circuit trek or Manaslu Larke pass Trek is one of the challenging passes and it is among the most preferred trekking destinations in Manaslu region and Nepal. Manaslu Circuit Trek
The Manaslu Circuit trek was officially opened to trekkers in 1991 which is in the restricted area thus, it requires a special trek permit. Since Annapurna circuit trail started the motor road construction, the circuit of Manaslu trek crossing over the Larke Pass (5160 m); is getting more and more popular as a new trekking destination; certainly a great alternative to the Annapurna Circuit Trek. The Manaslu circuit Trek is a famous teahouse trek that takes you around Mount Manaslu at an altitude of 8,163 meters. Further more, the highest point of this trek is the ‘Larkya La Pass.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (1,300m), transfer to selected hotel and welcome dinner.
Today you arrival one of the biggest city and capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu (TIA) Tribhuvan international airport. Welcome by our airport representative and take to your mentions hotel and prepare document for permit apply of Manaslu Trek. Tonight you explore Nepalis traditional food and also you will see the Nepali culture program welcome dinner by Great panorama Treks.
Day 2 Kathmandu sightseeing and Trek preparation.
Manaslu circuit trek required 3 types of permit Like: Manaslu special trekking permit, if you doing continue Annapurna trek also need TIMS permit, Manaslu conservation permit, Annapurna Conservation permit and Larke peak climbing permit this all prepare need 1 day so our representative will make permit and you can go explore city tour with our tour guide. And also Check climbing gear evening time with your climbing guide.
Day 3 Drive Kathmandu to Machhakhola 7-8 hrs
Early morning drive to Machhakhola after your breakfast the drive road more or less what mention with your program but normally we drive Machhakhola nowadays. And jeep and bus are service available for driving and overnight stay at guest house.
Day 4 Trek to Jagat 6-7 hrs. trek.
From Machhakhola to Jagat normal people do trek and you also doing same like that and that takes around 6-7 hours and that also depend on your walking speed. You can have hot lunch in Dovan or Thulo dunga between Jagat.
Day 5 Jagat to Deng (1,804m), 6 - 7 hrs trek.
Deng is small village on the Manaslu trek and it’s takes 6-7 hours all the way forest and narrow trail and you have top be careful when there is mule and some animal on the way. This day is amazing places where you also can see some mountain of Manaslu region and also you can see the trail of famous trek trail Chum valley. Overnight at guest house.
Day 6 Deng to Ghap (2,165m), 3 - 4 hrs trek.
Today you reach Namrung where you can use intranet and can talk with your family if you want to update with them. Namrung is small village and where you can have also some bakery items as well. The trek around 6-7 hours include lunch stop.
Day 7 Ghap to Lho (3,180m), 7 - 8 hrs trek.
Trek to Lho village this village is amazing village of the Manaslu region where you can see real manaslu Khang pun Gyan and Serang and many other mountain as well. You can have hot shower because after here there is no chance to have hot shower and when you in high altitude there is better to skip shower. The trek takes 5-6 hours and if you are early reach Lho village you also can visit around village and fun with kids.
Day 8 Lho to Samagaon (3,530m), 5 - 6 hrs trek.
Trek to Samagaun one of the highlights village of the trip. Yuo can have lunch in Syala village enjoying with mount Manaslu, Naike peak, Serang Himal and nature. Today the trek only 4-5 hours if you want to lunch direct Samagun that you can. If you arrive early Samagun after check in your hotel you can go Birendra lake for short acclimatization Samagun overnight guest house.
Day 9 Day excursion to Pungyen Gompa.
Today you can go Mamansu base camp after your breakfast and take pack lunch with you because there is no hotel and tea shop in base camp. The trip up and down takes 5-7 hours. If you reach Manaslu base camp that will be very useful for you for your pass to Larke Pass.
Day 10 Samagaun to Samdo (3,860m)
Trek to Samdo. Samdo is only 2 hours from Samagoun so you can go morning Pungyan Gumpa around -3-4 hours and after that you come back to Samagun and take lunch them go to Samdo village.
Day 11 Samdo to Dharamsala (4,460m)
Darmasala around 3-4 hours and you will walk all the way with beautiful mount Manaslu, Serang ,Naike peak and many other mountain and Darmasala there is tea house so you can stay overnight there in tea house.
Day 12 Dharamsala to Bimthang (3,720m) via Larkya La (5,100m), 8 - 9 hrs trek.
Trek to Bimthang after larke pass you start trek today early morning around 4-5 Am and you will reach sunrise Larke la. After Larke pass trek down around 3 hours and Bimtang is nice place for everything. From Larke la you can see many mountain diffrent than manaslu region you can see some Annapurna mountain range mount Himlung, mount Kangkaru, Naike peak, Serang himal Manaslu south view and many other mountain.
Day 13 Trek to Gowa village
Trek to Gowa village only 4-5 hours trek al the way down and now you can see Manaslu south view and mt. Himlung, Khang karu, Naike peak and many other beautiful mountain. Most of way you can walk on jungle and river side. Gowa where you can have good hot shower and supper delicious food.
Day 14 Trek to Tilje and drive
Trek to Tilje- Darapani Annapurna circuit trail and drive to Besisahar than if you want to go Pokhara you can take bus from Besisahar to Pokhara and if you want to go Kathmandu you can go by bus to Kathmandu.
Day 15 Departure to home
Departure to home or own destination.
