You'll hardly know you're in the city while staying at Arusha Planet Lodge. Plenty of trees surround the rooms, which have balconies and colorful safari decor, and the quiet suburban location keeps traffic noise to a minimum. Day 1.   Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha Planet Lodge ( 1 hour drive )

Safari Experience.
After breakfast at the lodge, proceed to Tarangire National Park for game viewing. It is a nice, quiet park in the Northern Circuit, where you will have chances to observe groups/herds of elephants, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and some cats around the park, like Lions, etc. After all these, in the afternoon, your Guide will drive you to the Restaurant where you will enjoy your hot lunch.
Afterward, continue with the game drive until evening, then drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

The rooms at Marera Valley Lodge are like understated temples to good taste, and you'll sleep well here. Although you're close to Karatu, you're nicely removed from the main road that connects Ngorongoro Crater with Lake Manyara National Park. Day 2.  Arusha - Tarangire National Park ( 2 hours drive )

Welcome to Tanzania! Your Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours will meet you upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport and take you straight to your River trees hotel in Tanzania. This trip is an exclusive private safari so that you can enjoy your trip to the fullest! Tomorrow morning will be an early start for your first Tanzania safari experience, so use your first day to recuperate from a day of travel and soak up the sights and sounds of Africa.

Day 1 Arrival Kilimanjaro - Arusha

Today you’ll be heading out to your first Tanzania national park: the magnificent Lake Manyara. Though one of the smaller national parks in the country, it still packs a punch. Expect to spot herds of elephants slowly trekking across the plains, vast troops of baboons in the thick forest canopy, and – if you are lucky! – perhaps even tree-climbing lions.

You’ll spend the day in your private 4×4 safari vehicle with your experienced safari guide leading the way. A mesmerizing variety of wildlife can be found around the huge soda lake, including buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and plenty of pink flamingos. The shallow Hippo Pool is always a highlight and offers excellent opportunities for hippo sightings as well as spectacular views of the Rift Valley Escarpment.

Lake Manyara in Tanzania isn’t just about epic game drives, however. Combine a full day of safari adventure with various activities from cultural tours to canopy walks and more!

Day 2 Lake Manyara National Park

Today you will continue your African safari experience to one of the country’s biggest draws: the Serengeti National Park. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife that call the Serengeti home are unsurpassed. The Wildebeest Migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti.

Together with your private guide, you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.

If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.

Day 3 Serengeti National Park

Early morning you drive from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road leads you over the Great Rift Valley, through the crater forest, to the striking Ngorongoro Crater. This collapsed volcano is the main feature of the area and creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the landscapes and the diversity of animals.

The crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is choked with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

There is a range of activities to do in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, like visiting a Maasai village.

Day 5 NGORONGORO CRATER

Early in the morning after Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. One of the lesser-visited national parks of atmosphere, expect to see few other travellers on your journey and plenty of private moments to admire majestic herds of elephants roaming amidst the iconic Baobab trees.

Home to the highest concentration of wild elephants in the world, the Tarangire offers up unbeatable elephant sightings. Sometimes herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking from the shallows or enjoying a cooling mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around these swamps, you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and even tree-climbing pythons. Day 6 TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Today will be at leisure to relax or explore, depending on your flight. Your driver will transfer you to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight and on day 7 you will arrive back home.

Day 7 Arusha - Airport

7 Days Serengeti Family Safari

Your adventure begins with a journey into Tarangire National Park, known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. After landing at Arusha Airport, your private guide will greet you, offer refreshments, and give a short trip briefing. You'll then drive about 90 minutes to Tarangire for a full day of game viewing. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and lions as you explore the park’s open plains and riverine forests. Stop for a hot lunch before continuing your drive until late afternoon.

Later, head to Maramboi Tented Camp, where spacious tents overlook the Rift Valley. Wildlife often passes right by, offering great views from your private deck. Relax by the pool or enjoy the sunset from the open-air restaurant before dinner and overnight stay.



Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Maramboi Tented Lodge

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a morning game drive through Tarangire’s swamplands, home to herds of elephants, buffaloes, and aquatic birds. Watch as wildlife gathers in the soft morning light. Around noon, your guide will set up a table for your hot lunch with tea or coffee. Continue along the Tarangire River, a vital water source that draws elephants, zebras, wildebeests—and sometimes lions. It’s the perfect setting to witness animals in their natural rhythm. As the day winds down, your guide will drive you to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy your final breakfast in the wild and ensure your bags are packed, and your passport is ready. Double-checking is crucial to ensure nothing is left behind. Depart from the lodge on time to arrive at the airstrip one hour before your departure time. Your driver will be waiting to drop you off to the Airstrip for your domestic flight that departures at 11:05am and arrives at 13:00 at Kilimanjaro Airport.
