Ama Dablam, which translates to “Mother’s Necklace,” stands proudly at an elevation of 6,812 meters (22,349 feet). Often referred to as the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas” due to its symmetrical pyramid shape, this iconic peak has captured the hearts of climbers worldwide. It was first successfully summited on March 13, 1961, by a team of climbers, including Mike Gill (NZ), Barry Bishop (USA), Mike Ward (UK), and Wally Romanes (NZ), via the Southwest Ridge. Since then, it has become the third most popular Himalayan peak for expeditions, drawing climbers from all corners of the globe.

Day 30: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,840 Meters/9,317 Feet) – November 13th
Today marks your final trek as you make your way from Namche to Lukla. The trail descends gently along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several iconic suspension bridges that offer exhilarating views of the landscape. As you trek, take in the natural beauty surrounding you and reflect on the incredible journey you’ve undertaken. Upon reaching Lukla, take a moment to celebrate your successful climb with your fellow team members. You’ve shared unforgettable experiences and forged lasting friendships throughout this expedition. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 Meters/4,593 Feet) – October 15th
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will be there to assist you with your transfer to your hotel. After settling into your accommodation, take some time to rest and acclimatize to your new surroundings. In the evening, join us for a special welcome dinner where you will have the opportunity to savor delicious traditional Nepalese cuisine. Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation (1,400 Meters/4,593 Feet) – October 16th
On this day, you'll immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of Kathmandu. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you'll meet your climbing team and expedition leader for a comprehensive orientation session. This meeting will cover essential details about your upcoming adventure, including safety protocols, permit requirements, and an overview of the climbing itinerary. Following this informative session, you'll set out to explore the enchanting Kathmandu Valley, which is home to a multitude of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Consider visiting Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, where you can ascend the 365 steps to the stupa and be rewarded with panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. The temple is also filled with playful monkeys, adding to its charm. Another must-see is the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal, where you can observe the rituals of local Buddhists and perhaps enjoy a cup of tea at a nearby café.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,800 Meters/9,186 Feet) and Trek to Phakding (2,610 Meters/8,562 Feet)
Today marks the beginning of your trekking adventure as you board an early morning flight to Lukla, a picturesque hilltop settlement. This scenic 40-minute flight offers breathtaking views of lush forests and towering mountains, setting the stage for your journey into the heart of the Himalayas. Starting your journey through the lively villages of Zamphute and Tok Tok, you’ll be greeted by stunning views of Thamserku as it glistens in the morning sun. Consider joining a guided tour to discover hidden gems or enjoying a peaceful day at a local café. In the evening, we will host a farewell dinner, complete with a traditional cultural show to celebrate the successful conclusion of your adventure. Day 33: Final Departure – November 16th
On your final day, a representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will assist you with your departure. After enjoying one last breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport three hours before your flight departs. As you say goodbye to Nepal, take with you not only the memories of your incredible journey but also the friendships you’ve formed and the personal growth you’ve experienced along the way.
