Ghorepani poonhill trekking begins after reaching Nayapul (1070m). A place sensing remoteness and totally different from well-developed infrastructures welcomes you. Day wise your destination leads you upward up to Poonhill. Different villages such as Hille, Thikedhunga, Salleri, Ghorepani provides you teahouse for night stay and lunch services. The hospitality of people, quality food on such a high landscape shows more service than business. Flight, bus or private car are means of transportation to reach up to Nayapul and walking continues until you return back to Nayapul.
Poonhill is plateau-like flat area on the top of Ghorepani and it is the highest point of Ghorepani Poonhill trekking. The sunrise view from View tower of Poonhill is a major target of the trek, you should not miss it. Ghorepani poonhill is also common as The Photographers paradise where none of the trekkers could stop capturing the moment as a video or photographs. The sunrays falling on Annapurna range gives glory not only in nature but also in your heart. Ghandruk is the traditional Gurung village developed as another best destination of Ghorepani Poonhill trek. You will spend one night before reaching Nayapul in Ghandruk. The ethnic Gurung culture and amazing scenery of Annapurna range makes the village Ghandruk more special to visit. Cultural food, cultural dance and the hospitality of the local people makes your visit best.
The total distance of Poonhill trekking covers 40 kilometer and takes 3 to 4 days walking. Two permits -TIMS and Annapurna conservation area permits are required for Ghorepani Poonhill trekking. For an experience trekker solo trek is also possible. Even though trek with guide and group could not be replaced with solo trek. You can have better time with guide and group rather than solo trek.
Since Ghorepani poonhill trekking region is in the Annapurna Conservation area, big hotels are not available. Construction of big buildings are not allowed so small tea houses are there for food and lodge service. You should pay (1-2) $ for charging your gadget as extra payment. Getting a room with an attached bathroom may not be possible all the time because of limited tea houses. Sometimes adjustment should be done even in the dining hall. Tea houses will provide clean room and comfortable bed. In off-season you will get enough blankets but the condition will be reversed in peak season. Carrying a sleeping bag is the best solution to the lack of enough blankets. Breakfast Lunch and dinner will be either Nepali food or available western food. Momo, tea or coffee or Hot chocolates, bread or toast with jam, butter, cheese and honey, hot potato, corn flex, chapatti, Local tsampa porridge, Hashed brown eggs in omelets form or Pancakes, Fruits and Vegetables, salad pizza having tomato and mushroom, papad and prawn, rice pudding, apple pie Dal bhat tarkari are more common among tea houses of Ghorepani Poonhill trekking.
Poonhill trekking is one of the best trekking in Nepal. There is almost zero percent chance of death of trekkers because of moderate temperature and slightly horizontal path. Very few problems arise due to altitude sickness as Ghorepani Poonhill is located in 3210m and you may not suffer from the altitude as well. Every trekker can have visit Poonhill trekking without any risk.

Day 04 Trek to Ghorepani 2,840 m – 07 hours.
Day 05 Morning hike to Poon-Hill and trek to Tadapani 2,520m – 05 hrs. .
Day 06 Trek to Ghanduruk 2012 m- 3 hrs.
Day 07 Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara-6 hrs
