Island Peak Climbing: Experience on the Island Peak Aggressive Climb and discover the breathtaking Everest region of Nepal, a paradise for trekkers, climbers, and adventure seekers. Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse, stands at an impressive elevation of 6,189 meters. It’s one of the most popular trekking peaks in the Khumbu region, perfect for both beginners and advanced climbers. First summited in 1953 by legendary climbers Tenzing Norgay and others, Island Peak continues to attract mountain enthusiasts from around the globe. Your adventure begins with a scenic flight from Ramechap to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From Lukla, you’ll trek to Phakding and then to Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital and commercial hub. After acclimatizing in Namche, you’ll head to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, where you can immerse yourself in local legends and culture. Continuing your trek, you’ll reach Dingboche, passing through stunning forests of birch, conifer, and rhododendron, all while enjoying breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Next, you’ll make your way to Chukkung for an acclimatization day, where you can hike to Chukkung Ri for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Island Peak Base CampFrom Chukkung, you’ll trek to the Island Peak Base Camp, navigating the Lhotse Icefall and Imja Glaciers. After receiving essential pre-climbing training at base camp, you’ll set off for the summit. While the climb is accessible, you’ll use crampons, ladders, and fixed ropes on certain sections. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with stunning vistas of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Baruntse, and a myriad of other peaks in the Himalayan range. After capturing the moment, you’ll descend back to base camp and retrace your steps through enchanting landscapes back to Namche Bazaar.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 Meters/4,593 Feet)

Upon your arrival, a representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will warmly greet you at the airport and escort you to your comfortable accommodation. After settling in, take the opportunity to explore the lively streets filled with local shops, colorful temples, and vibrant markets. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to enjoy a guided city tour to discover the unique history of this enchanting city. In the evening, gather with your climbing guide for a comprehensive briefing about your upcoming trek. Day 2: Explore Kathmandu Valley and Expedition Preparation (1,400 Meters/4,593 Feet)
After a hearty breakfast, immerse yourself in a full-day sightseeing adventure across Kathmandu, often celebrated as the "City of Glory." Your first stop will be Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the heart of Kathmandu's cultural life, where you can marvel at the intricate Newari architecture and historic temples like Kal Bhairav and Taleju Temple. Continue your journey to Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Next, visit Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site dedicated to Lord Shiva, where you can observe rituals performed by local priests from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Ramechap and Fly to Lukla - Trek to Phakding

After a pleasant walk along a stream, you’ll navigate through the glacier moraines, leading to a wide valley near Island Peak. This area offers breathtaking views and prepares you for the upcoming climbing challenges. Day 11-12: Climb to Island Peak (6,165 Meters/20,226 Feet)

Upon landing in Ramechap, continue your journey with a drive back to Kathmandu. Once you arrive in the bustling capital, take some time to rest and recuperate from your trek. Day 17: Free Day in Kathmandu (1,400 Meters/4,593 Feet)

Alternatively, consider joining a guided tour to discover hidden gems and historical sites that showcase the rich heritage of Nepal. In the evening, gather for a special farewell dinner, celebrating your successful expedition with your team. Day 18: Final Departure
As your adventure comes to an end, take the time to reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had in Nepal. A representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will meet you at your hotel and assist you with your transfer to the airport. You will be dropped off three hours before your flight departs, ensuring a smooth departure as you carry home unforgettable memories and a spirit of adventure.   • Nepal Entry Visa Fees Visa can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. The cost is $25 USD for a 15-day visa
