Itinerary
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
After breakfast, depart Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Trek through the moorland with scenic views of Kilimanjaro.
Cross the Shira Plateau, a vast expanse of high-altitude desert.
Arrive at Shira 1 Camp (3,810 meters) for dinner and overnight stay.
Hiking time: 6-7 hours.
Day 3: Shira 1 Camp toshira 2 Camp
Ascend through the moorland, enjoying expansive views of the Shira Plateau.
Reach Shira 2 Camp at 3,810 meters, situated near the Shira Cathedral.
Hiking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 5: Shira 2 Camp (3,810m) to Barranco Camp (3,960m)

Ascend to Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization before descending to Barranco Camp.

Day 6: Barranco Camp (3,960m) to Karanga Camp (3,995m)

Ascend to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit attempt.
The landscape becomes increasingly barren as you approach the high camp.
Rest and prepare for the summit bid.
Hiking time: 3-4 hours.
Day 1: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
Drive to Lemosho Gate (2,385 meters) for registration.
Begin trekking through the lush rainforest.
Pass through vibrant flora and possibly spot wildlife like monkeys.
Arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750 meters).
Enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
Hiking time: 3-4 hours.
Day 8: Barafu Camp (4,673m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m)
Start the summit attempt around midnight to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
Trek in darkness under starlight and headlamps, following the switchbacks of the steep scree.
Reach the summit at sunrise and celebrate your achievement.
Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and lunch.
Continue descending to Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters.
Hiking time: 11-15 hours.
Day 9: Mweka Camp (3,100m) to Mweka Gate (1,640m)
Descend through the lush rainforest, enjoying the oxygen-rich air and abundant vegetation.
Reach Mweka Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates.
Transfer back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha for a well-deserved celebration and rest.
