The Mont Blanc Course and Ascent combines focused alpine instruction with an attempt on the highest peak in the Alps. It is well-suited to climbers who may already have some basic experience and want to refine core skills while gaining the acclimatisation needed for a major ascent. The early days introduce and refresh essential techniques on snow and ice. Practical sessions cover movement on crampons, ice axe use, rope systems and safe travel on glaciated terrain. These skills are then applied on nearby training peaks which build confidence and prepare you for the main climb.
Once acclimatised, the attention shifts to the summit objective. The ascent of Mont Blanc requires strong fitness and steady movement at altitude. The route involves glacier travel, sustained snow slopes and classic alpine terrain that rewards efficient technique and good pacing. Guiding is provided on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis which gives you close support, tailored coaching and a high level of safety throughout the course. You can join as an individual or climb with a partner.
Mont Blanc trips often fill well in advance and availability is limited. Early enquiries are recommended if you want to secure a place on this course.
