Connecting to Nagaland's main rivers are hundreds of tributaries - most unexplored - that we can descend, all with the start start point of undocumented sources and in pristine conditions. We go immediately after Nagaland's extensive monsoon season, when water levels are still high, rivers are flushed, days are warm, and roads are navigable. We work closely with the locals to ascertain start points and observe their traditions, crossing multiple tribal territories as we drop towards the great plain of the Brahmaputra in Assam.
