Day 1. Arrival

After Breakfast your guide take you to Ngorongoro Crater for full day game drive. You will enjoy full day game drive in which you will see varieties of wildlife flora and fauna including carnivores, herbivores, Omnivores and different types of trees and birds.
You will take lunch and proceed game drive, in evening you will turn back to your Hotel.

Dinner and Overnight at Stc Safari Lodge or similar.

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be picked up and transferred to Kizumba House or similar overnight.

Overnight at Kizumba House (bed and breakfast) or Similar.

KILIMANJARO AIRPORT – ARUSHA | KIZUMBA HOUSE

Altitude: 1,800 m –  2,720 m
Hiking time: 4 hours
Leave Kizumba House at about 7:30 a.m. and drive to Marangu Gate on the eastern side of Kilimanjaro. Do the necessary paperwork at the park gate, such as registrations. Begin hiking at about 10:30 a.m. Hike through the rainforest from the park gate to Mandara Hut, which takes about 4 hours. Stop halfway for lunch. Reach the Mandara Huts at about 2 or 3 p.m. Unpack, rest, and have some tea or coffee. Dinner is served during the early evening, at about 7 p.m. A side trip to Maundi Crater (about 15 minutes away) is a good way to see the surroundings and the views of Kenya and Northern Tanzania. Bathrooms are available with running water.

MOSHI  |  MARANGU GATE  |  MANDARA HUT

Altitude: 2,720 m –  3,720 m
Hiking time: 5-6 hours
Wake up for breakfast (approx. 7:30 a.m.) and pack for the next leg. Break camp at about 8:30 am and hike to Horombo Hut. This leg should take 5 to 6 hrs. You travel through lower-heath land with small shrubs being the main vegetation. Stop halfway for lunch. Views of Mawenzi are amazing. The summit of Kibo can be seen from Horombo Huts. Arrive at Horombo Huts at about 3 p.m. Rest, unpack, and prepare for dinner. Bathrooms are available with running water.

MANDARA HUT  |  HOROMBO HUT

This day, you will have an extra day at Horombo Hut (3,720 m) for acclimatization. It will be great training for your body to get used to the altitude as you walk around the hut up to zebra rocks at an altitude of 4,100 m and back. You will get spectacular views and familiarize yourself with summit weather. You will overnight at Horombo Hut.

HOROMBO HUT (Acclimatization Day)

Altitude: 3,720 m –  4,720 m
Hiking time: 6–7 hours
Wake up for breakfast as usual (if you wake before sun-up, you can get some great photos of the sunrise). Pack and begin the hike to Kibo Huts. The first half of the day’s hike traverses the upper heath land, while the second half crosses the vast saddle that connects Mawenzi and Kibo. The saddle is an alpine desert that resembles a lunar landscape. Be careful to notice signs of altitude sickness. The day’s hike should take 6 to 7 hours, stopping halfway for lunch. There is no running water at Kibo Huts.

HOROMBO HUT  |  KIBO HUT

Altitude: 4,720 m –  5,895 m
Hiking time: 7 hours
Wake up at around midnight to a light breakfast, and prepare for the summit ascent. This part of the hike is carried out in the early morning before dawn so that the climbers reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise. Leave at about 1:00 a.m. and reach Gilman’s Point at about 7:00 a.m. The climbers are met with views of the crater from Gilman’s Point because it is on the Crater Rim. Another 2 hours of hiking brings the climber to UhuruPeak at about 8:30 a.m. From there, you will descend back to Kibo Huts, collect your things, and cross the saddle again at Horombo Huts, where you will spend the night. Eat dinner and get some well-deserved sleep.

KIBO HUT  |  SUMMIT | HOROMBO HUT

Wake up, pack, and descend to Mandara Huts. Have your lunch there and continue to the park gate, where you will be met by your transport back to Moshi. You should reach the park gate around 2 or 3 p.m. You will now drive back to Moshi for a long overdue hot shower, Overnight in Kizumba Hotel hotel. It is recommended to tip guides and porters. This is highly appreciated at the end of their trip. Tips can be given to the main guide at Kizumba House. This is also where successful climbers receive their summit certificates. Those climbers who reached Stella Point (5,759m) are issued green certificates, and those who reached Uhuru Peak (5,895m) receive gold certificates.

HOROMBO HUT | MARANGU GATE | KIZUMBA HOUSE

Depart for the airport or other destinations in Tanzania or Kenya. Zanzibar is a great trip to take after a hard climb. Other trips around Arusha city can be arranged at a reasonable price.

MOSHI  |  KILIMANJARO AIRPORT

Kilimanjaro Marangu Route

Mount Kilimanjaro Marangu Route.

Arrive to Kilimanjaro International Airport meet with your driver then drive to Karatu for your overnight at Stc. Safari Lodge or Similar.
You will be welcomed will juice at hotel and the dinner will start 7:30 PM. Your guide will give you briefing about your safari before or after dinner depend on your interest.

Day 1: Arrive

After breakfast at 6 AM you will drive to Ngorongoro as your Hotel is very close to Ngorongoro entrance so you will enjoy the full day game drive with Packed lunch, in the evening you will drive to the Hotel.
Note: Breakfast time depend on your suggestion.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater day trip

After breakfast (suggested time) your driver take you to the Airport or your destination in Arusha or Moshi with your Lunch box.

Day 3: Departure.

Pickup from your hotel Moshi or Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, lunch en-route. This is a beautiful park filled with baobabs and acacia trees with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck. Watch the animals come together on the shores of the Tarangire River. The animals are best viewed during the dry season, including elephant herds, elands, oryx, lesser kudu, rhinos, leopards, lions, and cheetahs. The birdlife is varied and plentiful. You can also see the very rare Roam Antelope in this park. In the late evening drive to  Monastery in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK |  MONASTERY

Drive 20 minutes from St.Catherine Monastery  to the Ngorongoro Crater gate. On the eastern side, the Rift Valley expands across the horizon with elephants, buffalo, zebra, monkeys, and birds scattered across the landscape. You will also see the crater rim within it cradling Tanzania’s diverse concentration of wild and rare animals. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos and prides of lions, including the magnificent black-maned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Then, in the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha or Moshi or to the airport.

Pick up from Moshi or Arusha and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for game drives. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos as well as prides of lions that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see include leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. In the late afternoon drive to St Catherine Monastery or similar to enjoy your evening.

Head out after breakfast for a drive to Serengeti National park. The word “Serengeti” is derived from the Maasai language meaning “endless plain” en-route to Serengeti, you can choose to visit a Maasai village, a perfect place to explore the Maasai culture and to even participate in some cultural activities. Later on, enjoy a game drive en route to your camp. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildebeest Camp or similar.

After breakfast, venture into the Serengeti’s wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, enjoy this world's heritage site, where the earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the late evening, go to the Serengeti Wildebeest Camp or similar for rest, dinner, and overnight.

KILIMANJARO AIRPORT – ARUSHA |KIZUMBA HOUSE

Drive from Moshi to Momella Gate. After a short registration at the Momella Gate, our walk begins with a fully armed ranger escorting us on the hike. Along the way, you will see wild animals including buffalo, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, antelopes, and often elephants. Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.

MOMELLA GATE | MIRIAKAMBA HUT

Altitude: 2,541 m –  3,570 m
Hiking time: 3-5 Hours
Distance: 8 Km
Habitat: Forest and Moorland
The walk from Miriakamba Hut to the saddle below Little Meru is a short day but a steep climb. The walk will take you slowly along the ridge for a spectacular view of the Meru Crater and the impressive Ash Cone. After a hot lunch at Saddle Hut, you can make a short climb to the summit of Little Meru (3,820 m) for superb views just before sunset. Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.

MIRIAKAMBA HUT | SADDLE HUT

Altitude: 3,570 m -  3,850 m - 4,566 m - 2,541 m
Hiking time: 10-12 Hours
You will start climbing between 1 am to 2 am at night. The route is very steep towards Rhino Point (3,850 m) and from there towards the summit along a very narrow ridge. You will reach mount Meru summit, Socialist Peak, (4566 m) right at sunrise.
The scenery there is stunning; you can see Mount Kilimanjaro at a distance if the weather is clear. After taking photos on the summit you will descend back to Saddle hut and then descend to Miriakamba hut.
Note: In icy conditions or strong winds it is not necessarily possible to pass the ridge between Rhino Point and the summit. Your guide will decide whether or not the conditions are good enough to continue.

SADDLE HUT | RHINO POINT | SUMMIT SOCIALIST PEAK |  MIRIAKAMBA HUT

Altitude: 2,541 m -  1,500 m
Hiking time: 2-5 Hours
You will leave at about 8.00 a.m. in the morning and descend to Momella gate. You can choose the longer or shorter route down. On the longer route, you have a very good chance to see wildlife and the ash cone. Once at the gate, it’s time to tip your porters, guide, cook, and game ranger. 
After that our driver will be ready and waiting to transfer you back to Kizumba House in Arusha for refreshments, dinner, and an overnight.

After having breakfast, enjoy your morning leisure time at the hotel, and depending on your flight schedule, get transferred to the airport to catch your departure flight back home.
