Trekk Mount Kilimanjaro 9 DAYS LEMOSHO ROUTE

Morning after breakfast at the hotel departs for a drive from Iringa to Ruaha National Park. Lunch will be served after arrival then followed by afternoon leisure before the evening game drive which starts at 3:30 pm. Ruaha is rich with lots of different animals eg; antelopes, giraffes, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Cheetah, and lots of different bird species.

DAY 01 Iringa-Ruaha

The early morning game drive starts at 6:30 am come back for breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive and lunch boxes lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Park, After lunch go on with the game drive up to the evening, Overnight at TANAPA cottage /bandas.

DAY 02 Ruaha

The early morning game drive starts at 6:30 am then come back for breakfast at 9:00 am, After breakfast collect all your belongings and lunch boxes and go back on the game drive, lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Park, After lunch start driving to the gate to check out before your time expires. Then drive back to Iringa.
Drop off at the Hotel.

Day 3 Ruaha to iringa

Ruaha National Park

3 DAYS SAFARI TO RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town, you will meet a Kitonga Tours guide who will brief you on your upcoming trek and do an equipment check to make sure you have all the necessary mountain gear. Gear which is missing can be rented on this day. Overnight at Panama Garden Resort, Meals plan bed and breakfast.

Day 0: Arrive in Tanzania

One hour's drive from Moshi lies the gate to the Machame route, where we complete park formalities, meet our crew of porters, and start to climb! The first section of the route climbs steadily and passes through magnificent, dense rainforest. This path is less well-trodden so it can get somewhat overgrown in places and it is often wet and muddy underfoot.

Day 1: Machame Gate (1790m) to Machame Camp (3010m)

Our route continues up through the forest until we reach the steep ascent onto the Shira Plateau, where there are rewarding views of the mountain. Looking back, you will be able to see Mt Meru rising high above Arusha town in the distance.

Day 2: Machame Camp (3010m) to Shira Camp (3845m)

- Approx. time taken: 8 hrs
Walking now on high moorland, the landscape changes the entire character of the trek. We traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing underneath the Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach and finally reach camp The day has been spent at altitude (up to 4600m), but we have followed the mountaineering code of 'walk high, sleep low' to aid your body's acclimatization to altitude.

Day 3: Shira Cave (3845m) to Barranco Camp (3960m)

Our day starts by descending into the start of the Great Barranco, a huge ravine. We then exit steeply, up the Great Barranco Wall, which divides us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo. It's a climb over rock, not technical but long and tiring. Passing underneath the Heim and Kersten glaciers, we head towards the Karanga valley. From here we have a steep climb up from Karanga valley to our night's camp at Karanga camp, set at 3963m. For those feeling strong, we will go for a mid-afternoon acclimatization trek up to around 4200m before descending back to camp for the night.

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3960m) to Karanga Camp (3963m)

After a good night's rest and breakfast, we set off on our walk to Barafu camp at 4640m. The climb will take us across desolate scree slopes with no vegetation around us at all. It's a tough steep walk made more difficult by the altitude. On arriving at camp we eat and spend the afternoon resting as we prepare for a long night and day ahead. It is important to keep hydrated and warm. We have an early dinner and then try to get some sleep as we will be getting up between 11 pm and 12 pm to start the climb to the summit.

Day 5: Karanga Camp (3963) to Barafu Camp (4640m)

- Approx. time taken: 12 - 15 hours
We start off at around midnight and walk steeply upwards to the summit glaciers. We will be climbing scree for 4 to 5 hours but gain incredible height over a short distance. The views are spectacular. We should be on the crater rim at Stella Point (5739m) as the first rays of the sun hit us. Spectacular ice cliffs within the crater surround us and the views to jagged Mawenzi peak and beyond are breathtaking. Another hour's walking takes us to the summit, Uhuru Peak (5895m). We begin our descent by returning to Stella Point and then descending on a steep slope and track back to Barafu Camp for breakfast, before finally heading down to Millennium Camp for a long well-earned rest.

Day 6: Barafu Camp (4640m) to UHURU PEAK (5895m) & down to Millennium Camp (3790m)

A gentle trek takes us down through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where we complete park formalities and receive certificates, which you can hang up with pride! We are then met by our vehicles and return to the hotel in Moshi, where you can treat yourself to a welcome shower (and a cold beer or two!) before our big celebration.

Day 7: Trek Millennium Camp (3790m) to Mweka Gate (1630m)

Day 10: Iringa Mbeya

Early Morning after breakfast, then depart for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. A hot lunch will be served in the park around midday, later return to the Tanapa Bandas for dinner and your overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at Tanapa Bandas Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 03: Mikumi Np

After breakfast collect all your belongings and depart to Udzungwa mountains for trekking. Here you will experience a great view of the mountain tops overlooking a big sugar cane plantation. You will view different medicinal plants and different monkey species during your trek. Lunch will be served at Sanje Waterfall and later descend the mountain. Dinner and overnight at the Twiga Lodge Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 04: Mikumi National Park - UDZUNGWA MOUNTAIN NP

After Morning breakfast you will visit Etnia gogo and later drive back to the Lodge for Dinner and an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at the Twiga Lodge, Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 05: Udzungwa Mountain NP

After early morning breakfast collect all your belongings and start your journey to Mikumi National Park, Lunch will be served after arrival, After lunch depart for the game drive until sunset where you will drive back to the cottage for dinner and overnight, Dinner and overnight at the Tanapa Bandas, Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 02: Dar es salaam - Mikumi National Park

After arrival you will be picked up from the Airport and be taken to the Hotel Later you will visit the National Museums. Overnight Harbor view

Day 06: Udzungwa Mountain NP - Ruaha National Park

Early morning breakfast then leave for the full-day game drive, lunch will be served at the picnic site in the park. After lunch proceed with a game drive until evening then drive back to the Bandas. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and overnight at the Bandas.

DAY 07: Ruaha NP

Early morning game drives at 0630 until 0930 then come back for breakfast which will be served at the restaurant. After breakfast collect all your belongings and drive back to Iringa with a game drive en route as heading out of the Park

Day 8: Ruaha NP-Iringa

After breakfast drive to Isimila Stone Age and later you will visit Igeleke. Dinner and overnight at NEEMA CRAFT, Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 9: Iringa

Early morning breakfast then collect all your belongings and drive to Katavi National Park, Katavi Np is blessed with thousands of zebra, topi, and impala. Hartebeest, giraffe, and Defassa waterbuck are also very common, there's a large population of resident elephants, and some impressive herds of buffalo. Also, it is a great park for watching lion-buffalo interactions. Dinner and overnight at Government rest house. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 11: Mbeya - KATAVI National aprk

Morning after breakfast departs for a full game drive in Katavi National Park. Lunch will be served in the park followed by a little leisure before proceeding with the game drive until sunset, Dinner, and overnight at the Government rest house. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

DAY 12: Katavi National aprk

After an early morning breakfast collect all your belongings and depart to Kigoma
Dinner and overnight at Aqua Lodge Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

DAY 13: Katavi National park- KIGOMA

Early morning catch up a boat to Gombe with picnic lunch. Arrive in Gombe and proceed with chimpanzee tracking in the forest and bird watching. The ranger will help you spot several families of chimpanzees. Overnight at Gombe Rest House.

DAY 14: Chimpanzee Trekking at Gombe National Park

In the Morning we will do chimpanzee tracking, only if we did not see them on day 14th, then back for lunch in the rest house, and take a boat ride back to Kigoma. Dinner and overnight at Lake Tanganyika Hotel. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

DAY 15: Gombe National Park - Kigoma

After morning breakfast you will go to visit the Livingstone museum.

DAY 16 : Kigoma

After an early morning breakfast collect all your belongings and depart to catch the flight to Dar es Salaam. Meal plan: Breakfast.
