Naivasha is the second largest freshwater lake in Kenya, situated northwest of Nairobi, near the town of Naivasha. It is a significant feature of the Great Rift Valley and is accessible via a two-hour drive from Nairobi. Along the journey, there will be an opportunity to stop at a viewpoint to admire and photograph the stunning vistas of the Great Rift Valley before continuing on to Naivasha.

Additionally, Hell's Gate National Park, a compact yet remarkable area, is renowned for its diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes, including the Fischer's Tower, Central Tower columns, and Hell's Gate Gorge. This park is also a habitat for the rare lammergeyer vultures, making it a unique destination for nature enthusiasts.

Itinerary

Day 01: Lake Naivasha and Hells Gate National Park

You will be picked from you Hotel or Airport in Nairobi Depart Nairobi at 0600 am, drive to Naivasha via the Great Rift Valley. Along the way make a stop at the viewpoint for great rift valley views. Arrive at Hell's Gate, watch out for herds of Thompson’s gazelle, eland, zebra, hartebeest and also look for the birds as Hell’s Gate is home to more than 100 species of birds, including Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards, vulture, and swifts. Walking safari through the park’s distinctive gorges, where narrow passageways and caves are sunk into sedimentary rock. At You will head to Olkaria geothermal spa for swimming. Have your Lunch at Naivasha Sopa Resort at extra cost Explore lake Naivasha beautiful freshwater Lake, giraffes wander among the acacia Buffalo wallow in the swamps and colobus monkeys call from the treetops. At 1630hrs, you depart for Nairobi. You will be dropped at the pick-up point in Nairobi Optional activities: - Boat ride, Crescent Island (at extra cost).
