Itinerary

Days 1
Day 1: Marrakech – Aït Bouguemez - Transfer: Departure from Marrakech to reach the Vallée Heureuse, a 4 to 5 hour journey through the High Atlas mountains. You cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass, admiring breathtaking landscapes before arriving in the valley. - Installation: Arrival in Aït Bouguemez in the afternoon, installation in a homestay or gîte. - Hiking: Short acclimatization hike around the villages of Aït Bouguemez to discover the terraced fields, orchards, and first contacts with the inhabitants. Night in lodge.
Days 2
Day 2: Aït Bouguemez – Sidi Moussa – Timit - Distance: 10-12 km, approximately 5-6 hours of walking This first full day of hiking takes you to discover the traditional Berber villages of the valley. You will visit the collective granary of Sidi Moussa, located on a hill, before continuing through villages like Aït Imi and Timit, where you can observe local agricultural techniques. Night in lodge.
Days 3
Day 3: Aït Imi – Col de Tizi n’Aït Imi – Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed - Distance: 15-16 km, approximately 6-7 hours of walking - Elevation difference: 900 m / -700 m You start the day with an ascent towards the Tizi n'Aït Imi pass (2900 m). This passage offers you a spectacular view of the Vallée Heureuse and the surrounding mountains. The descent then takes you to Tighremt n'Aït Ahmed, an isolated and traditional village where you will spend the night in a tent or with a local.
Days 4
Day 4: Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed – Source of Aïn Aflafal – Distance: 14 km, approximately 6 hours of walking After breakfast, you continue the hike towards the source of Aïn Aflafal. This stage crosses high mountain pastures, often used by nomads with their herds. Arrival at the source in the afternoon, setting up the bivouac near this high altitude oasis. Night in tent.
Days 5
Day 5: Aïn Aflafal – Tarkeddid Plateau – M'Goun base camp - Distance: 12-15 km, approximately 7 hours of walking - Elevation difference: 800 m This day is marked by a regular climb towards the Tarkeddid plateau, located at more than 3,000 meters above sea level. You cross desert and mineral landscapes while enjoying the view of the surrounding peaks. You arrive at the M’Goun base camp at the end of the day, where you will spend the night in a tent.
Days 6
Day 6: Ascent of M'Goun (4071 m) - Descent to Oulilimte - Distance: 10-12 km, approximately 8-9 hours of walking - Elevation difference: 1,100 m / -1,200 m One of the highlights of this hike is the ascent of Djebel M'Goun, culminating at 4071 meters. You leave early in the morning to reach the summit and enjoy panoramic views of the entire High Atlas range. After a while at the summit, you go back down to Oulilimte to set up camp. Night in tent.
Days7
Day 7: Oulilimte – Ouzighimt Valley – Return to Aït Bouguemez - Distance: 10-15 km, approximately 6-7 hours of walking The hike continues with a descent into the Ouzighimt valley. You pass through isolated villages and green landscapes before reaching the Happy Valley. Return to Aït Bouguemez in the afternoon, then transfer by vehicle to Marrakech. --- Highlights of the hike: - Ascent of Djebel M'Goun, second highest peak in Morocco. - Discovery of the authentic Berber villages of Aït Bouguemez. - Meeting with mountain nomads and exploration of varied landscapes: mountains, plateaus and fertile valleys. - Immersive experience with nights in a bivouac tent or with a local.
