Itinerary
Day 1: Kilimanjaro
Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport meet our driver guide and transferred to the hotel in Arusha overnight at the hotel in Arusha city. [[Not allowed]].
Day 2: ARUSHA – Tarangire
Non-game-viewing travel time: 3 hours Distance: 210 km.
After breakfast, you will be met by our guide/driver, deliver a short briefing then head into the Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania's dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. We eat lunch at the picnic after which we continue with the game until late evening, and then drive to the MARERA LODGE for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Marera - Lake Manyara.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive for lunch. After lunch proceeds with a game drive in the park This national park is one of Tanzania's most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley western escarpment. The park varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara's unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Dinner and overnight at Marera Lodge.
Day 4: Marera- Lake Eyasi
After breakfast -drive to Lake Eyasi to visit the Bushmen and learn more about their culture -you could also join them in their hunting. For an unforgettable experience, take your time to stay and participate in the cultural activities of this amazing tribe of Tanzania. Dinner and overnight at lake Eyasi
Day 5: Lake Eyasi-Serengeti
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti -with packed lunch enroot to Serengeti. Arrive for the evening game drive Today you will travel to the Serengeti national park which is one of Africa's premier Game parks. Driving through the Ngorongoro conservation area toward the Serengeti national park you will begin to experience the territory and marvel at the multitude of animal and bird life cruising throw this acacia-spotted savannah. Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti National Park. The park is renowned for its annual migration; when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeests trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grants gazelle. Day 6 & Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Two days full game drives in Serengeti. you will enjoy another two full days of the game drive as you will travel between the northern and Central Serengeti the Serengeti at sunrise is a beautiful sight and one not to be missed. This is also the best time for spotting animals so take advantage of the morning hours for the first game drive of the day. After a morning out, the smell of a cooked breakfast is welcomed as we enjoy a morning under the shade of the trees. Afternoons are normally a lazy affair that ends in the late afternoon when the temperatures cool down and the animals start to be active again. Today is no different and at 4 pm we will head out for an evening drive before returning to the lodge in time for drinks around the fire and dinner All meals and overnight at Narudi camp
Day 8: Serengeti-Ngorongoro
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro and visit the crater with picnic lunches. On this day the Ngorongoro Crater awaits us. The Crater is a conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated 180km west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. After an early breakfast, we will head out towards the Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera, where we experience an amazing game drive on the crater floor filled with wildlife and said to be one of the most thrilling game spotting experiences. The crater won't leave you disappointed. Dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Lodge.
Day 9: Karatu - Arusha
Take your morning breakfast, and visit the local village not far from the lodge. We can also relax a bit at the lodge or do some shopping if you have time. In the afternoon we will visit Maasai Boma for another unique experience from this amazing tribe of Tanzania. Then we will drive to Arusha
